Some jackets start with a style idea.
This one started with a request that carried weight and meaning: Jesus wearing the crown of thorns, and a love for the color green.
When Tracy told me what she wanted, I could already feel the heart behind it. The crown of thorns is a reminder of what Jesus endured, and the love He showed when He chose the cross.
Her Testimony:
"I'm a back slid Christian trying to find my way back home. I've always loved the lord and my mom and dad are both pastors. I'm from the Bible belt of Missouri. But I've had a hard life and it has dragged me down a few times trying to defeat me but I'm tired of the games and I'm ready to commit even with the world against me . God is good and he has put up with me this far. He is my first love and will be my last." 💓
A name that became part of the message
As I was praying and thinking about the design, I looked up the meaning of Tracy’s name.
It means strong warrior.
That instantly shaped the direction of the artwork, because that is not just a definition.
It is a declaration of identity.
The story I painted
I created a design that reflects strength, faith, and readiness.
On the jacket, I painted:
A godly woman in armor, representing strength and spiritual courage
A kneeling woman ready for battle, representing surrender, prayer, and being prepared
This jacket is not about fighting people.
It is about standing firm in faith.
It is about being strengthened by God.

Words and Scripture on the sleeves
On one sleeve, I added:
I am victorious
Because in Christ, Tracy is not defeated by the past, not trapped by fear, and not defined by hardship.
On the other sleeve, I added:
1 Corinthians 15:51
That verse points us to God’s power to transform and change what feels impossible. God is still a God who makes all things new.
Jesus on the front
On the front of the jacket, I painted Jesus wearing the crown of thorns.
It is a powerful image to carry with you. It is a reminder that the victory we walk in was purchased with love, sacrifice, and mercy.
A personal connection
I have known Tracy for a long time. We worked together at Ace Hardware a few years ago.
It is always special when God lets me create something meaningful for someone I have history with, because I can paint with even more love and intention.
A reminder you can wear
This jacket is a message Tracy can wear:
Strong warrior
Covered in grace
Ready in prayer
Victorious in Christ
