Have you ever wanted more than “church,” more than religion, more than doing the right things on the outside?
That hunger to truly know God has been part of Beth's story for as long as she can remember.
"I grew up in a Lutheran church, and I genuinely loved going. But deep down, I wanted more. I wanted to know the Lord personally, not just know about Him. I wanted a real relationship that changed my everyday life.
On June 3, 1982, I accepted Jesus as my Savior after watching a Billy Graham sermon.
In that moment, I knew something had shifted inside of me. It was not a surface change. It was a heart change. I felt God’s presence with me every day, and I began to crave His Word.
So I started reading the Bible daily, not because I had to, but because I wanted to grow. I wanted to learn His character, His ways, and His love."
Living faith in everyday life
One of the ways God has shaped her life is through caring for people.
"In my work as a health care worker, I have the honor of serving patients every day, and I make it my prayer to share the love of Christ through compassion, encouragement, and the way I show up.
Worship has also always been close to my heart. I love to worship the Lord, and at one point, I even belonged to a worship dance team. Worship is where my heart lifts up and remembers what is true."
Why I painted this jacket
Faith is not only something I believe. It is something I live. And for me, art has become one of the ways I express the story God is writing.
This is why I created a Custom Identity Jacket with a message that is both personal and prophetic.
On the back, I painted a dove with Holy Spirit flames in soft pastel colors. The dove represents the Holy Spirit, God’s presence, and His gentle power.
Across the sleeves, I painted Scripture:
Hebrews 11:6 on one sleeve
"And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."
John 3:16 on the other
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
On the front, I added flowers that echo the “fire” look from the back. It is a picture of beauty, growth, and transformation.
And then there are the words.
Above the dove:
Consecrated to God
Below the dove:
I am Holy and Made New
Those words are not just decoration. They are a declaration.
The message behind the words
To be consecrated means to be set apart. It means you are not living for everything else anymore. You are choosing to belong to God.
And “holy and made new” is not a claim of perfection. It is a testimony of what Jesus does.
When Jesus saves us, He does not only forgive our past.
He gives us a new identity.
He makes us new.
A reminder you can wear
This jacket is a reminder I can wear on my body of a truth God put in my spirit:
God is real.
God is present.
And God changes lives.
If you are reading this and you feel that same hunger I felt, I want you to know this:
You can know Him.
Not just in theory. Not just in tradition. Not just in your mind.
You can know God personally.
Closing prayer
Lord, thank You for drawing hearts to You. Thank You that You still save, still heal, and still make all things new. I pray that everyone reading this would experience Your presence and discover their true identity in Christ. In Jesus’ name, amen.
